I have been making music for as long I can remember. I started taking piano lessons at age 5 – 35 years ago! When I started junior high and chose band as my elective, I chose the trumpet because I wanted to be able to join the jazz band too. 2 years later, when the band was preparing for a music festival, I was asked to switch to the french horn, so I did.
Since then, I have been involved in music in one way or another – playing in community concert bands, singing in choirs, and sometimes just playing regularly at home on an electric piano. In addition to these three instruments, I am committed to furthering my music education on an ongoing basis, and am currently learning to play the harp. Guitar and hammered dulcimer are also on my to-learn list.
Now that I have a full acoustic piano in my home, and after my husband and I purchased our first home in 2015, I have decided it is time to pass on my love of music to others. I began Ravensong Music Studio in the summer of 2016.
When I am not making or teaching music, I also enjoy crafting, reading, and spending time with my husband and our animals.
